Title: Towards higher Frobenius functors for symmetric tensor categoriesSubjects: Representation Theory (math.RT)
We develop theory and examples of monoidal functors on tensor categories in positive characteristic that generalise the Frobenius functor from \cite{Os, EOf, Tann}. The latter has proved to be a powerful tool in the ongoing classification of tensor categories of moderate growth, and we demonstrate the similar potential of the generalisations. More explicitly, we describe a new construction of the generalised Verlinde categories $Ver_{p^n}$ in terms of representation categories of elementary abelian $p$-groups. This leads to families of functors relating to $Ver_{p^n}$ that we conjecture, and partially show, to exhibit the characteristic properties of the Frobenius functor relating to $Ver_p$.

Title: Infinite rank module categories over finite dimensional $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-modules in Lie-algebraic contextSubjects: Representation Theory (math.RT)
We study locally finitary realizations of simple transitive module categories of infinite rank over the monoidal category $\mathscr{C}$ of finite dimensional modules for the complex Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2$. Combinatorics of such realizations is governed by six infinite Coxeter diagrams. We show that five of these are realizable in our setup, while one (type $B_\infty$) is not. We also describe the $\mathscr{C}$-module subcategories of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-mod generated by simple modules as well as the $\mathscr{C}$-module categories coming from the natural action of $\mathscr{C}$ on the categories of finite dimensional modules over Lie subalgebras of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$.

Title: On the restriction of some irreducible mod-$p$ representations of $\text{GL}_2(\mathbb{F}_q)$ to $\text{GL}_2(\mathbb{F}_p)$Subjects: Representation Theory (math.RT)
For a prime $p,$ let $\mathbb{F}_q$ be a finite extension of $\mathbb{F}_p$ and $\mathcal{G}=\text{GL}_2(\mathbb{F}_q).$ Then the irreducible representations of $\mathcal{G}$ are classified as twists of Sym$^{\vec{r}}(\overline{\mathbb F}_{p^2}).$ The restriction of irreducibles of $\mathcal{G}$ to its subgroup $G=\text{GL}_2(\mathbb{F}_p)$ is same as investigating the behavior of the tensor product of irreducible representations of $G.$ In this paper, we study the restriction of some of these representations of $\mathcal{G}$ to $G,$ for $2$ and $3$ degree extensions of $\mathbb{F}_p.$

Title: Geometric categorifications of Verma modules: Grassmannian Quiver Hecke algebrasSubjects: Representation Theory (math.RT)
Naisse and Vaz defined an extension of KLR algebras to categorify Verma modules. We realise these algebras geometrically as convolution algebras in Borel--Moore homology. For this we introduce \emph{Grassmannian--Steinberg quiver flag varieties}. They generalize Steinberg quiver flag varieties in a non-obvious way, reflecting the diagrammatics from the Naisse--Vaz construction. Using different kind of stratifications we provide geometric explanations of the rather mysterious algebraic and diagrammatic basis theorems.
A geometric categorification of Verma modules was recently found in the special case of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ by Rouquier. Rouquier's construction uses coherent sheaves on certain quasi-map spaces to flag varieties (zastavas), whereas our construction is implicitly based on perverse sheaves. Both should be seen as parts (on dual sides) of a general geometric framework for the Naisse--Vaz approach.
We first treat the (substantially easier) $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ case in detail and construct as a byproduct a geometric dg-model of the nil-Hecke algebras. The extra difficulties we encounter in general require the use of more complicated Grassmannian--Steinberg quiver flag varieties. Their definition arises from combinatorially defined \emph{diagram varieties} which we assign to each Naisse--Vaz basis diagram. Our explicit analysis here might shed some light on categories of coherent sheaves on more general zastava spaces studied by Feigin--Finkelberg--Kuznetsov--Mirkovi{ć} and Braverman, which we expect to occur in a generalization of Rouquier's construction away from $\mathfrak{sl}_2$. - [5] arXiv:2405.20268 [pdf, ps, html, other]

Title: On Morita equivalences with endopermutation source and isotypiesSubjects: Representation Theory (math.RT); Group Theory (math.GR)
We introduce a new type of equivalence between blocks of finite group algebras called an almost isotypy. An almost isotypy restricts an isotypy in Broué's original definition, and it is close to Linckelmann's version. We show that a bimodule of two block algebras of finite groups - which has an endopermutation module as a source and which induces a Morita equivalence - gives rise to an almost isotypy if and only if the character values of a (hence any) source are rational integers. This generalises a previous result of Huang and Zhou. Consequently, if two blocks are Morita equivalent via a bimodule with endopermutation source, then they are almostly isotypic.

Title: Equivalence between non-commutative harmonic oscillators and two-photon quantum Rabi modelsComments: 8 pagesSubjects: Mathematical Physics (math-ph); Classical Analysis and ODEs (math.CA); Representation Theory (math.RT); Spectral Theory (math.SP)
We prove that the non-commutative harmonic oscillator on $L^2(\mathbb{R})\otimes\mathbb{C}^2$ introduced by Parmeggiani and Wakayama is equivalent to the two-photon quantum Rabi model, and they are also equivalent to a holomorphic differential equation on the unit disk. The confluence process of this differential equation and the relation with the one-photon quantum Rabi model are also discussed.

Title: On the $(\varphi,\Gamma)$-modules corresponding to crystalline representationsComments: 38pagesSubjects: Number Theory (math.NT); Representation Theory (math.RT)
Let $K$ be a mixed characteristic complete discrete valuation field with perfect residue field of characteristic $p$. We construct a new linear category called the category of crystalline $(\varphi,\Gamma)$-modules over $\widetilde{\mathbb{A}}_K^{+}$ and show that it is equivalent to the category of crystalline $\mathbb{Z}_p$-representations of the absolute Galois group of $K$. In other words, we determine the $(\varphi,\Gamma)$-modules over $\widetilde{\mathbb{A}}_K$ which correspond to crystalline representations. In a sense, this can be seen as a generalization of Wach modules in the ramified case.

Title: Yangian for cotangent Lie algebras and spectral $R$-matricesSubjects: Quantum Algebra (math.QA); High Energy Physics - Theory (hep-th); Mathematical Physics (math-ph); Representation Theory (math.RT)
In this paper, we present a canonical quantization of Lie bialgebra structures on the formal power series $\mathfrak{d}[\![t]\!]$ with coefficients in the cotangent Lie algebra $\mathfrak{d} = T^*\mathfrak{g} = \mathfrak{g} \ltimes \mathfrak{g}^*$ to a simple complex Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$. We prove that these quantizations produce twists to the natural analog of the Yangian for $\mathfrak{d}$. Moreover, we construct spectral $R$-matrices for these twisted Yangians as compositions of twisting matrices.
The motivation for the construction of these twisted Yangians over $\mathfrak{d}$ comes from certain 4d holomorphic-topological gauge theory. More precisely, we show that pertubative line operators in this theory can be realized as representations of these Yangians. Moreover, the comultiplications of these Yangians correspond to the monodial structure of the category of line operators. - [9] arXiv:2405.19932 (cross-list from math.CO) [pdf, ps, html, other]

Title: A weighted Murnaghan-Nakayama rule for $(P, w)$-partitionsComments: 18 pagesSubjects: Combinatorics (math.CO); Representation Theory (math.RT)
The $(P, w)$-partition generating function $K_{(P,w)}(x)$ is a quasisymmetric function obtained from a labeled poset. Recently, Liu and Weselcouch gave a formula for the coefficients of $K_{(P,w)}(x)$ when expanded in the quasisymmetric power sum function basis. This formula generalizes the classical Murnaghan--Nakayama rule for Schur functions.
We extend this result to weighted $(P, w)$-partitions and provide a short combinatorial proof, avoiding the Hopf algebra machinery used by Liu-Weselcouch. - [10] arXiv:2405.20229 (cross-list from math.CV) [pdf, ps, html, other]

Title: Positivity and universal Pl\"ucker coordinates for spaces of quasi-exponentialsComments: 24 pagesSubjects: Complex Variables (math.CV); Mathematical Physics (math-ph); Representation Theory (math.RT)
A quasi-exponential is an entire function of the form $e^{cu}p(u)$, where $p(u)$ is a polynomial and $c \in \mathbb{C}$. Let $V = \langle e^{h_1u}p_1(u), \dots, e^{h_Nu}p_N(u) \rangle$ be a vector space with a basis of quasi-exponentials. We show that if $h_1, \dots, h_N$ are nonnegative and all of the complex zeros of the Wronskian $\operatorname{Wr}(V)$ are real, then $V$ is totally nonnegative in the sense that all of its Grassmann-Plücker coordinates defined by the Taylor expansion about $u=t$ are nonnegative, for any real $t$ greater than all of the zeros of $\operatorname{Wr}(V)$. Our proof proceeds by showing that the higher Gaudin Hamiltonians $T_\lambda^G(t)$ introduced in [ALTZ14] are universal Plücker coordinates about $u=t$ for the Wronski map on spaces of quasi-exponentials. The result that $V$ is totally nonnegative follows from the fact that $T_\lambda^G(t)$ is positive semidefinite, which we establish using partial traces. We also show that if $h_1 = \cdots = h_N = 0$ then $T_\lambda^G(t)$ equals $\beta^\lambda(t)$, which is the universal Plücker coordinate for the Wronski map on spaces of polynomials introduced in [KP23].

Title: The Alperin Weight Conjecture and the Glauberman correspondence via character triplesComments: Corrected some typosSubjects: Representation Theory (math.RT); Group Theory (math.GR)
Recently, G. Navarro introduced a new conjecture that unifies the Alperin Weight Conjecture and the Glauberman correspondence into a single statement. In this paper, we reduce this problem to simple groups and prove it for several classes of groups and blocks. Our reduction can be divided into two steps. First, we show that assuming the so-called Inductive (Blockwise) Alperin Weight Condition for finite simple groups, we obtain an analogous statement for arbitrary finite groups, that is, an automorphism-equivariant version of the Alperin Weight Conjecture inducing isomorphisms of modular character triples. Then, we show that the latter implies Navarro's conjecture for each finite group.

Title: Gorenstein D-branes of type BComments: Section 3 of the paper has been completely modified. Due to this, the title has changedSubjects: Representation Theory (math.RT)
Let (S; n) be a commutative noetherian local ring and w in n be non-zerodivisor. We propose a natural definition of the category of Gorenstein pairs of w, by replacing projectives with finitely generated Gorenstein projective S-modules in the category of pairs. It is shown that the category of Gorenstein pairs of w is a Frobeius category, and in particular, its projective objects are the same as the category of pairs. The stable category of Gorenstein pairs, which admits a natural structure of a triangulated category, is called Gorenstein D-branes of type B. It is proved that the singularity category of the factor ring R = S=(w) as well as the category of D-branes of type B, can be realized as triangulated subcategories of Gorenstein D-branes of type B. In studying the category of Gorenstein D-branes of type B, the submodule category of Gorenstein projective S-modules has been used appropriately.

Title: Silting reduction and picture categories of 0-Auslander extriangulated categoriesComments: 33 pages. v2: Theorem 5.9 improved, minor changesSubjects: Representation Theory (math.RT); Category Theory (math.CT)
Let $\mathcal{C}$ be an extriangulated category and let $\mathcal{R}\subseteq \mathcal{C}$ be a rigid subcategory. Generalizing Iyama--Yang silting reduction, we devise a technical condition $\textbf{(gCP)}$ on $\mathcal{R}$ which is sufficient for the Verdier quotient $\mathcal{C}/\mathrm{thick}(\mathcal{R})$ to be equivalent to an ideal quotient. In particular, the Verdier quotient $\mathcal{C}/\mathrm{thick}(\mathcal{R})$ will admit an extriangulation in such a way that the localization functor $L_{\mathcal{R}}\colon \mathcal{C} \rightarrow \mathcal{C}/\mathrm{thick}(\mathcal{R})$ is extriangulated. When $\mathcal{C}$ is 0-Auslander, the condition $\textbf{(gCP)}$ holds for all rigid subcategories $\mathcal{R}$ admitting Bongartz completions. Furthermore, we prove that the Verdier quotient $\mathcal{C}/\mathrm{thick}(\mathcal{R})$ then remains 0-Auslander. As an application, we define the picture category of a connective $0$-Auslander exact dg category $\mathscr{A}$ with Bongartz completions, which generalizes the notion of $\tau$-cluster morphism category. We show that the picture category of $\mathscr{A}$ is a cubical category, in the sense of Igusa. The picture group of $\mathscr{A}$ is defined as the fundamental group of its picture category. When $H_0\mathscr{A}$ is $\mathbf{g}$-finite, the picture group of $\mathscr{A}$ is finitely presented.

For the second fundamental representation of the general linear group over a commutative ring $R$ we construct straightforward and uniform polynomial expressions of elementary generators as products of elementary conjugates of an arbitrary matrix and its inverse. Towards the solution we get stabilization theorems for any column of a matrix from $GL_{n \choose 2}(R)$ or from the exterior square of $GL_n(R)$, $n\geq 3$.

We establish several foundational results regarding the Grothendieck-Springer affine fibration. More precisely, we prove some constructibility results on the affine Grothendieck-Springer sheaf and its coinvariants, enrich it with a group of symmetries, analog to the situation of Hitchin fibration, prove some perversity statements once we take some derived coinvariants and construct some specialization morphisms for the homology of affine Springer fibers. Along the way, we prove some homotopy result on l-adic complexes that can also be applied to Hitchin fibration.

Title: Geometric interpretation of quantitative instabilitySubjects: Dynamical Systems (math.DS); Number Theory (math.NT); Representation Theory (math.RT)
Given a real algebraic group $G$ acting on a linear space $V$, a vector $v\in V$ is called unstable if $0\in \overline{Gv}-Gv$, where the closure is taken with respect to the Zariski topology. A fundamental theorem of Kempf in geometric invariant theory states that $v$ is unstable if and only if there is a one-parameter subgroup $A$ of $G$ such that $Av$ is unstable. Assuming $G$ is a semisimple real algebraic $\mathbb{Q}$-group, we give a new proof to this result using a geometric interpretation of the setting. In the process, we also give a new proof of an effective version of this result by Shah and Yang. Our interpretation involves relating the length of vectors under a linear action to convex functions on certain $\cat$-spaces, and bound the later from below by Busemann functions.

Given an arbitrary choice of two sets of nonzero Boltzmann weights for $n$-color lattice models, we provide explicit algebraic conditions on these Boltzmann weights which guarantee a solution (i.e., a third set of weights) to the Yang-Baxter equation. Furthermore we provide an explicit one-dimensional parametrization of all solutions in this case. These $n$-color lattice models are so named because their admissible vertices have adjacent edges labeled by one of $n$ colors with additional restrictions. The two-colored case specializes to the six-vertex model, in which case our results recover the familiar quadric condition of Baxter for solvability. The general $n$-color case includes important solutions to the Yang-Baxter equation like the evaluation modules for the quantum affine Lie algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n)$. Finally, we demonstrate the invariance of this class of solutions under natural transformations, including those associated with Drinfeld twisting.

Title: Topological-Holomorphic ${\mathcal N} =4$ Gauge Theory: From Langlands Duality of Holomorphic Invariants to Mirror Symmetry of Quasi-topological StringsComments: 30 pp. Further clarificationsSubjects: High Energy Physics - Theory (hep-th); Algebraic Geometry (math.AG); Differential Geometry (math.DG); Quantum Algebra (math.QA); Representation Theory (math.RT)
We perform a topological-holomorphic twist of $\mathcal{N}=4$ supersymmetric gauge theory on a four-manifold of the form $M_4=\Sigma_1 \times \Sigma_2$ with Riemann surfaces $\Sigma_{1,2}$, and unravel the mathematical implications of its physics. In particular, we consider different linear combinations of the resulting scalar supercharges under $S$-duality, where this will allow us to derive novel topological and holomorphic invariants of $M_4$ and their Langlands duals. As the twisted theory can be topological along $\Sigma_1$ whence we can dimensionally reduce it to 2d, via the effective sigma-model on $\Sigma_2$, we can also relate these 4d invariants and their Langlands duals to the mirror symmetry of Higgs bundles and that of quasi-topological strings described by the sheaf of chiral differential operators. As an offshoot, we would be able to obtain a fundamental understanding from 4d gauge theory, why chiral differential operators are purely perturbative objects.

Title: Extended Baxter relations and QQ-systems for quantum affine algebrasComments: 42 pages, v3: more details added, accepted for publication in Communications in Math. PhysSubjects: Quantum Algebra (math.QA); Statistical Mechanics (cond-mat.stat-mech); High Energy Physics - Theory (hep-th); Representation Theory (math.RT); Exactly Solvable and Integrable Systems (nlin.SI)
Generalized Baxter's TQ-relations and the QQ-system are systems of algebraic relations in the category O of representations of the Borel subalgebra of the quantum affine algebra U_q(g^), which we established in our earlier works arXiv:1308.3444 and arXiv:1606.05301. In the present paper, we conjecture a family of analogous relations labeled by elements of the Weyl group W of g, so that the original relations correspond to the identity element. These relations are closely connected to the W-symmetry of q-characters established in arXiv:2211.09779. We prove these relations for all w in W if g has rank two, and we prove the extended TQ-relations if w is a simple reflection. We also generalize our results and conjectures to the shifted quantum affine algebras.
